Don't know why Lucy's get such low ratings.... They were amazing. Great margaritas, great food and great service! We did three drive-bys in Carlsbad....El Charo, El Jimador, and Lucy's..... The last was the best .

Our experience tonight at this restaurant was wonderful. Great service, great margaritas, timely food to us. Husband had the dish called whatever (kind of like a pizza) and I had 2 green enchiladas (the sauce was soooo good) with a taco. The only critique would be if his plate had the lovely, yummy and fresh sopa separate from the rest of the ingredients ... would have been perfect.

Just like the other reviews, food and drinks are delicious here. We ordered the put the lime in the coconut and Lucy's special margarita and they were amazing. I ordered the 3 cheese enchiladas and hubby ordered combo fajitas. Kids had quesadillas. Great atmosphere and service as well.

We really enjoyed our food and our time at Lucy's! Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Lucy herself even came by to say hi! The food really hit the spot after a long day! Great local place to check out as we were visiting Carlsbad...just as it was 25 years ago when we went through Carlsbad the first time! It is easy to see why they take pride in their margaritas!

Staff very polite and quick, food tasty (steak and enchiladas) guacamole is fresh and they give you a good size portion not the chintzy pureed scoop you get most places :)

The food was excellent! The server was friendly and on it! The kids enjoyed their taco plates and ate everything. The fajitas were amazing. The enchiladas were good but a bit spicy. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the Carlsbad area!

This family owned restaurant in Carlsbad has the best Hispanic food and margueritas in town. A broad spectrum of visitors including families made me feel right at home. We had one of the most efficient waitresses I have encountered in a time. The prices were moderate. Don't plan on a meal there on Sundays--closed (as are many of the eating establishments in town).
